Government of Punjab bears all education expenses of their undergraduate courses in 168 different disciplines across 50 public sector university, 16 medical university and 131 Graduate colleges approved by HED including LUMS, FAST National University, COMSATS, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), NUST, and seven other leading private universities in Punjab. Annually, the program will award 30,000 scholarships, with the government committing PKR 7 billion in funding for the current year alone. Over the course of four years, more than 120,000 students will benefit, with a total investment projected to exceed PKR 130 billion over eight years. This effort is seen as a vital step in advancing equity and access to higher education for Pakistan’s brightest students.
